Soren was founded by a team of MIT engineers around one conviction: general-purpose AI does not move the needle for a serious business. The only AI that delivers real value is custom and domain-specific, built around how a particular company actually works.

General models are trained on the public internet. They know everything in general and your business in particular not at all. Out of the box they produce plausible, generic output that misses the context, the rules, and the judgment that real work depends on. The demo impresses. Production disappoints. That gap is not a model problem you can wait out, because the missing piece was never going to be in the model.

What works is the opposite of generic. AI shaped around your data, your workflows, and your standards, deployed inside the infrastructure you already control. A domain-specific system that encodes your context becomes genuinely useful, and it becomes defensible, because it is specific to you in a way a competitor cannot copy by signing up for the same tool.
